EG 2012

Eurographics 2012, the 33rd Annual Conference of the European Association for Computer Graphics, will take place from May 13 to May 18 in Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy. It will be organized by CRS4 Visual Computing and University of Cagliari. Eurographics 2012 will provide a unique platform for the computer graphics community to showcase latest techniques and educational work, and to explore new trends and ideas. EG 2013

Eurographics 2013, the 34th Annual Conference of the European Association for Computer Graphics, will take place in Girona, Spain. It will be organized by ViRVIG and the University of Girona. Eurographics 2013 will provide a unique platform for the computer graphics community to showcase latest techniques and educational work, and to explore new trends and ideas. New CGF co-chief editor appointed

Oliver Deussen from the University of Konstanz, Germany, was appointed co-chief editor of Computer Graphics Forum for the term 2012-2015. He was selected by a search committee among 10 applicants who responded to an open call. Oliver will take over from Eduard Gröller and he will share responsibility for CGF with Holly Rushmeier. Eurographics is grateful for Edi's service to the journal and wishes Oliver a successful term further advancing Computer Graphics Forum. 
 

Eurographics Executive Committee election results

The ballot for the Executive Committee elections closed on 1 August 2011. The following candidates have been elected: Oliver Deussen, Dieter Fellner, Jan Kautz, Heinrich Mueller, Isabel Navazo, Olga Sorkine and Brian Wyvill. Each will serve for a 3 year term of office commencing 1 January 2012. For more details see here.
 

New Honorary Fellow elected

During EuroVis 2011 in Bergen, Norway, Frits Post, a pioneer of visualization research in Europe and a long-time member and volunteer of Eurographics, was awarded the Honorary Fellowship of the Eurographics association. The citation can be found here.
