The nomination period for the EuroVis Early Career Award is now open.

The EuroVis Early Career Award is given each year to one or two early-career researchers in the field, who have already made a significant contribution to visualization in general, and more specifically to the European visualization community (e.g., through outstanding scientific contributions to the EuroVis conference). The intent of this award is to recognize people early on in their career who have already made a notable contribution and are likely to make more.

We call members of the visualization research community to nominate individuals for the EuroVis Early Career Award by filling out the online form. The deadline for nominations is January, 31^th 2025. Candidates to the EuroVis Early Career Award 2025 must have finished their PhD in 2019 or later*.

*Approved delays, such as leaves of absences, COVID delays, and switching fields will be considered on a case by case basis by contacting the awards chair.

This image shows the inside of the teaser figure 'fertility' from Polygon Laplacian Made Robust. It visualizes the condition numbers of individual polygon stiffness matrices. The mesh transitions from the input mesh to our result from left to right. The original mesh features disfigured polygons with alarming (yellow) or terrible (magenta) condition numbers. With our tailored smoothing algorithm, polygons become very regular and, combined with our improved polygon Laplacian, result in better condition numbers (blue) and improved robustness in computational simulation. Blender was used to stylize the geometry and render the image.
